To get a copy of your credit report, contact the following companies either by mail or through their web site.  Residents of CO, GA, MA, MD, NJ & VT are entitled to one free report per year from each credit reporting company. Everyone else will be required to pay a small fee for a copy.  Please visit their web site for information on cost of a credit report.

If you have been declined credit, you have the right to send a letter to the company who declined you credit, requesting a copy of your credit report.

1. full name including middle initial
2. include generation (Jr., Sr., III) should it apply
3. current and prior address
4. social security number
5. date of birth
6. spouse’s first name and social security number, if married.
7. copy of two items that show your name and address (driver’s license, utility bill)
8. documentation containing your social security number may be required
